Definition of Foul Connection: The connecting of a collective of MC's from different areas through foul means.
For the past few years Baltimore has been know for industry heat by such artist as Dru Hill, Ruff Endz and Mario. But for the most part Baltimore has been over looked for its hip-hop. For 2003 there is a group of street poets stepping up to make the industry take notice. They are collectively known as Foul Connection. They have been tearing up the Baltimore Area hip-hop scene for the past two years tearing down stages at such venues and events as Cosmic Soul Concert Series at The Ottabar (Baltimore), The Black Heritage Festival at The Convention Center in Baltimore & Spit Fire Mondays at the 5 Seasons in Baltimore, where they caught the ear of Baltimore radio personality DJ Kenny K of WERQ (92Q). Fully impressed by the flow of these MC's, Kenny gave them an avenue to hit the masses. In December of 2002 Foul Connection assaulted the Baltimore Underground with there fire spitting freestyle mix tape, Kenny K Presents Da Resurrection, which to date has distributed 3000 copies on the streets and is still going strong. Having made substantial noise in the Baltimore/ Washington area, this crew is set to make a statement to the world and bring the industry back to the essence of rhyme and beats. Make no mistake these cats can get grimy wit the best of them and still appeal to the radio community for that hot blazer for the airwaves. Not since the late 90's with the emergence of the Wu Tang Clan has the music world been exposed to a crew of MC's who will turn the music industry on its head. One of the main things that set FC apart from any other crew is that they have something for ever listener. And like fingerprints, there are no two that are alike and each one will give you there own diverse flow and point of view. Mr. Santino, one of the founding members, is the MC with the work ethic of an over worked executive. This young man is a perfect example of perseverance and drive. He spits fire with his low-key demeanor and sharp lyrics about life on the streets. Redeye is that diverse MC with the lyrical paralyses of a 10-year veteran rap star, which is reminiscent of a young Mike Tyson when he entered the ring, his battles are won before he even opens his mouth. Young Bonified is the braggadocios MC with the lyric content of a Webster's dictionary who has been blesses with a keen sense of thug artistry that is on another level. Midget, the youngest and smallest member, spits thug knowledge for the masses with a smooth arrogant tone. Mr. BAL with his laid back flow is as intimidating as his confident attitude. B.I. is the MC who is showing cats that lyrical big fella's are still around. True to the legacy of Notorious BIG and Big Pun. This cat is carrying the lyrical torch with a style all his own. Dan Da Bull, one of the founding members and part of the production team, delivers a confident no non-sense flow that will make the truest head take notice. Samuel is the only non-rapper in the crew. He delivers an artistic form of singing we call thug love music. He adds the commercial edge to the crew that sets it apart from any other due to the fact that no one else has an in-house singer to blaze tracks. Each member brings a source of diversity to the collective. Droppin science from a street perspective.
